The Air Jordan 3, released in 1988, is one of the most celebrated sneakers in the Air Jordan line and was instrumental in defining Michael Jordan's signature style. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Jordan 3 was the first Air Jordan to feature the iconic “Jumpman” logo on the tongue, a visible Air cushioning unit in the heel for enhanced comfort, and premium materials like tumbled leather. It also introduced the now-famous elephant print on the toe and heel, which became a distinctive design element of the Jordan brand.
